TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
CHECK-IN: Check-in is at
the Ridgecrest City Courts (see the map on the back), 30 minutes before
your first match. This is to allow you time to travel to the site of your first
match and warm-up.
STARTING TIMES: Out-of-town participants should obtain their starting times
by filling out the form at the bottom of this page and mailing it, along with a stamped self-addressed envelope, to: PO Box 1530, Ridgecrest, Ca. 93556. If you have not received your starting times by Wednesday, October 13th,

(760 371-3235) between the hours of 6:00 pm and 9:00 pm. Do not leave a message on the answering machine - calls will not be returned.
The tournament committee will not be responsible for any miscommunication of starting times given over the phone. Participants who live in the Ridgecrest/China Lake area will be able to check the draw at the Ridgecrest City Courts on Wednesday, October 13th. Tournament directors
will not give local entrants their starting times over the phone.
ENTRY DEADLINE: Entries must be delivered to the tournament committee no later than October
3rd.
ENTRY FEES: The first event is $35, the second event is $20
per person. If you enter one event your fee is $35. If you enter two events, your fee is $55. For full time students
age 22 or under the first event is $20, the second event is $10 If you enter
one event your fee is $20. If you enter two events, your fee is $30. Do not send cash. All fees must accompany your entry form. NO ONE WILL BE ENTERED IN THE DRAW UNLESS
ALL FEES ARE PAID. There will be no refunds of fees for cancellations after
October 6th. Make your check payable to "CLTC" and mail with your entry form to:

ENTRY LIMIT: Players are limited to 2 events; 1 singles
and 1 doubles, or 2 doubles. If you are entered in 2 events you could play 4
or more matches per day.
CLASSIFICATION: Entrants must play at one
classification level only. If you have won a Haugen event at the "B" or "C" level
in the previous 2 years, you must enter that event at a higher classification level.
Changing partners does not negate this rule. Entrants will be reclassified
if there are insufficient entries to support a division. The tournament committee
reserves the right to reclassify any entrant regardless of previous performance.
DEFAULT TIME: A 10-minute default time will be strictly enforced. Out-of-town participants should allow sufficient time to check in, find their starting times and arrive
at the appropriate match location, particularly if you are unfamiliar with the Ridgecrest/China Lake area.
WARM-UP TIME: Warm-up time will be limited to 5 minutes after you are given your court
assignment.
FORMAT: No-ad
scoring will be used in the earlier rounds. You may be required to play under
the lights on Saturday night.
SOCIAL: A
barbecue is planned for Saturday evening, October 16th, for all participants, their family and friends. Permanent seating at the barbeque is limited so bring lawn chairs
if you have them. Maps will be available at the Ridgecrest City Courts.
TOURNAMENT CONDUCT SHALL ADHERE TO USTA
RULES AND GUIDELINES (ETHICS AND DRESS), WITH THE TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE'S DECISION ON ANY INTERPRETATION FINAL. WARNINGS, PENALTY POINTS AND DEFAULT OF THE MATCH WILL BE ASSESSED FOR
UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT.
